The Art: Old Bedford

This screen print was inspired by an old truck Caroline saw in the middle of a paddock just south of Margaret River.
She added the hay bales since she had recently found out that her dad had stacked hay at Hay Shed Hill, in nearby Wilyabrup, during the late 50s and early 60s. Caroline’s father was a farmer in Cowaramup at the time and his farming friends would often help each other out.

A copy of Old Bedford will soon be gracing the walls of The Beerfarm so keep your eyes peeled!

The Artist: Caroline Juniper

Caroline Juniper is a Margaret River born and raised artist specialising in printmaking. Caroline Juniper’s work has long held a special place in our hearts with her bright and colourful screen prints evoking a timeless nostalgia of the south-west rural landscape. This limited summery beer with its potent “strawy” (you know how we like technical terms round here!) flavour and colour seemed like the perfect opportunity to collaborate and create the artwork for the Haymaker IPA.

“ I am inspired by the history scattered on the outskirts of town;
the old homesteads and machinery crumbling away; the rust and peeling paint and pre-loved gardens.”

Follow Caroline’s on Facebook and Instagram.
