Say g’day to Special FX – our fresh, limited-edition beer that’s bursting with tropical vibes, all thanks to the terpene fermentation wizardry!
Terpenes, natural compounds found in plants - and more importantly, hops, provide the citrus, piney, or floral notes we love in beer. These distinct, desirable aromas can undergo a magical metamorphosis when yeast comes into play. The biotransformation that takes place creates entirely new flavours and aromas, turning a simple beer into something more spectacular.
Crisp, refreshing and juicy, this generously hopped NZ DIPL gives us bold tropical flavours and aromas. Special FX is perfectly sparkling and bright with lots of sweet tropical citrus supported by notes of guava and nectarine. At first sight, it’s just beer, but a portal to a new palate emerges when intense aroma compounds bound in NZ hops are set free during fermentation, giving this beer its tropical intensity.
